Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal Software Engineer. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Ground Subsystem Sustainment Contract (GSSC) program.

What You'll Get To Do:

Be a part of the Ground Subsystem Support Contract (GSSC) ICBM Operational Software Program (IOSSP) Team maintaining nuclear certified Guidance and Aerospace Vehicle Equipment (AVE) Launch Facility (LF) software including Operational Ground Program (OGP); Operational Flight Program (OFP); and the Flight Program Constants (FPC). Write and conduct software integration tests to ensure functionality of software critical to national security. Manage a team of subcontractors to develop and test software delivered to the US Air Force.

Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:

• Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
• Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
• Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls;
• prepares operating instructions;
• designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
• Ensures software standards are met.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Job Qualifications:
You'll Bring These Qualifications:

• 5 Years of experience with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree
• At least 2 years ICBM/Missile experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

• Good presentation and writing/communication skills
• Aptitude in physics, math, systems and software engineering, and aerospace engineering principles required to maintain software
• Understanding of flight navigation, missile operations, ICBM modeling and flight analysis.
• Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance

Salary Range: $87,600 USD - $131,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
