Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Prinicipal Software Engineer OR a Senior Principal Software Engineer in Oklahoma City, OK. The successful candidate will be assigned to develop and deliver software products for the B-2 platform.

Essential Functions:

• Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle activities and the Agile process for the B-2 Mission Systems Software and/or tool development to support DevSecOps initiative.
• Review of software requirements for completeness and understandability.
• Perform detailed design, code, and testing of those requirements at the domain level as well as support of system and operational testing.
• Support tool development to support streamlining of current processes and development of continuous test integration environment.
• Candidate will be expected to have excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills.

This position can be filled at either the Principal Software Engineer OR Senior Principal Software Engineer level.

Basic Requirements for Principal Software Engineer:

• Bachelors of Science in a STEM discipline plus 5 years of experience; OR a Master's Degree in a STEM field with 3 years of experience; OR a PhD in a STEM field with 0 years of experience.
• Knowledge of or experience with C and C++ Object-Oriented Design and Development
• Knowledge of or experience with Python
• Must have US Citizenship
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance. This clearance must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
• Must have reliable means to get to work on time every work day. Taxis or ride-sharing services not permitted. Worksite not readily accessible by public transportation.
• This position also requires the ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP). This SAP must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

• Bachelors of Science in a STEM discipline plus 9 years of related experience; OR a Master's Degree in a STEM field with 7 years of related experience; OR a PhD with 4 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of or experience with C and C++ Object-Oriented Design and Development
• Knowledge of or experience with Python
• Must have US Citizenship
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance. This clearance must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
• Must have reliable means to get to work on time every work day. Taxis or ride-sharing services not permitted. Worksite not readily accessible by public transportation.
• This position also requires the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP). This SAP must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

Preferred Qualifications for both levels:

• Software emphasis degree - BS SW Engr. / BS Comp. Engr. / BS Comp. Sci. / similar
• Familiarity with computer message formats and principles
• Experience in complete software development life-cycle
• Experience in Agile SW methodologies - Scrum / Kanban / Pair Programming / similar
• Experience with embedded systems for military applications
• Experience in using integrated development environment tools (e.g. Rhapsody) and real-time operating systems (e.g. Integrity, VxWorks)
• Experience with Linux virtual development environment
• • Experience with Open Mission Systems (OMS) architecture and standards

Salary Range: $83,000 USD - $124,600 USD
Salary Range 2: $102,900 USD - $154,300 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
