    The Consolidated Operations and Anomaly Support Team (COAST) is a restricted Operations and Maintenance (O&M) program with several Integrated Project Teams (IPTs). The Software Engineering IPT focuses on the sustainment of several mission operational product lines, as well as the development of new capabilities as coordinated with the Customer.

    The Software Engineering IPT is a large team comprising multiple subsystems, each with a specialized software focus. We are looking for an energetic and passionate software engineer to join our team as we work to provide innovative solutions to complex issues in support of our Customer's national security mission.

    The position offers domestic and international travel opportunities.

    Basic Qualifications for the Principal Software Engineer:

    • Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI access prior to start date
    • A master's degree in computer science (or a related field) and 3 years of experience or a bachelor's degree in computer science (or a related field) and 5 years of experience; an additional 4 years of experience is acceptable in lieu of a degree
    • Strong programming skills with C++ and/or Java Objected-Oriented design and development
    • Knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system

    Preferred Qualifications for the Principal Software Engineer:

    • Familiarity with Eclipse RCP
    • Experience coding and designing user interfaces
    • Experience in the user experience design process
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface with all levels of employees, management, and stakeholders
    • Previous participation on an Agile scrum team or familiarity with the Agile process
    • Familiarity with the Atlassian Tool Suite (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket, Bamboo)
    • Experience developing in a Linux environment using git
    • Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills
    • Active TS/SCI security clearance

    Salary Range: $101,400 USD - $152,200 USD
    Salary Range 2: $125,800 USD - $188,600 USD

    Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
