    SSSD has an opening for an Principal****Senior Principal Electrical Engineer to support the Ground Product Engineering & Advance Programs Department, based in Redondo Beach, CA. This position is for the COAST Program HW&L Depot group and can be filled at level 3 or 4.

    The responsibilities include:

    • Provide System Engineering expertise for Communication Systems for O&M Support, ranging from Antenna, Narrowband and Wideband operational ground hardware.
    • Generate Hardware Obsolescence Trade Studies for obsolete operational ground hardware.

    The ideal candidate has strong experience in Comm Systems and communication skills. This person will be working on COAST Program which is an Operational and Maintenance program that supports domestic and international ground facilities. This position has opportunity to travel both domestically and internationally.

    You'll Bring These Qualifications: Principal Electrical Engineer

    • 5+ years of engineering experience with bachelor's degree in electrical or computer Engineering, or another STEM degree from an accredited institution; or 3+ years' experience with a STEM Masters; or 0+ years' experience with a STEM PhD. degree
    • 3+ years of electrical engineering design experience in an engineering environment
    • Candidate must have an active U.S. Government SCI security clearance.

    You'll Bring These Qualifications: Sr. Principal Electrical Engineer

    • 9+ years of engineering experience with bachelor's degree in electrical or computer Engineering, or another STEM degree from an accredited institution; or 7+ years' experience with a STEM Masters; or 4+ years' experience with a STEM PhD. degree
    • 5+ years of electrical engineering design experience in an engineering environment
    • Candidate must have an active U.S. Government SCI security clearance.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master's degree in electrical or computer Engineering from an accredited institution
    • 5 years of Electrical Engineering experience in an Aerospace Environment
    • Electronic Design experience in and engineering environment
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Fast learner and have a strong interest in hardware operation and maintenance.
    • Active DoD TS or SCI clearance

      This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

    Salary Range: $104,600 USD - $157,000 USD
    Salary Range 2: $129,700 USD - $194,500 USD

    Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
