    We are looking for you to join our team as a Signal / Image Processing Engineer - Radar based out of Woodland Hills, CA. As a Signal / Image Processing Engineer - Radarat Northrop Grumman you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Enterprise-wide digital transformation.     Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Woodland Hills, CA is currently seeking a Principal or Senior Principal Signal/Image Processing Engineer with a current/active Secret clearance to support radar exploitation activities in the Artificial Intelligence and Analytics department.

    In this role, the selected candidate will join a group developing algorithms for a novel radar capability. In this position you will perform analyses at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, prototyping, implementation, and test. The position requires familiarity with radar remote sensing and classical signal processing techniques.

    Specific responsibilities include:

    • Determining reuse possibilities, or conceptualizing novel algorithms
    • Designing and rapidly prototyping implementation
    • Designing a robust test suite
    • Creating presentation material to explain and document work, and presenting to internal and external stakeholders

    Basic Qualifications for a Principal Signal/Image Processing Engineer are:

    • 5 years of experience in scientific systems engineering or signal processing with a Bachelors of Science in a STEM discipline; 3 years experience with Masters; 0 Years with a PhD

    • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance

    • Academic background and/or on-the-job experience in radar processing

    • Skilled with Matlab and/or Python

    • Demonstrated oral and written presentation skills

    Basic Qualifications for a Sr. Principal Signal/Image Processing Engineer are:

    • 9 years of experience in scientific systems engineering or signal processing with a Bachelors of Science in a STEM discipline; 7 years experience with Masters; 4 Years with a PhD

    • Active DoD Top Secret clearance

    • Academic background and/or on-the-job experience in radar processing

    • Skilled with Matlab and/or Python

    • Demonstrated oral and written presentation skills

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Familiarity with C / C++
    • Experience with development and application of signal/image processing algorithms

    Salary Range: $115,200 USD - $172,800 USD
    Salary Range 2: $142,800 USD - $214,200 USD

    Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
