    Position summary

    guration Analyst to serve in the role of a Configuration Analyst** in support of our AARGM, AARGM-ER, and Stand in Attack Weapon missile programs with our talented Advanced Weapons team. This position will be in Northridge, CA.
    The ideal candidate will have experience in the full software engineering lifecycle and an understanding of the software engineering products that are generated and controlled during each phase.

    A successful candidate will have the qualities and essential functional expertise to:

    • Support and lead software configuration management activities
    • Create and control large scale software baselines for operational deployment
    • Represent Software Configuration Management (SCM) for all software development activities
    • Develop, implement, review, and monitor program Software Configuration Management plans and procedures
    • Provide project management with estimates and planning information for project CM/SCM activities
    • Manage software configurations and data for all site projects
    • Prepare deliverables- Software Release Documents, Software Version Descriptions, SCM Plans
    • Schedule and conduct, record, and document minutes of Software Change Control Board meetings
    • Record changes to software configuration or data items
    • Create formal baseline releases and engineering or informal software releases
    • Support design and development reviews
    • Create Software Change Request and defect tracking metrics
    • Serve as Database Administrator for the software configuration management tools
    • Participate in Enterprise Improvement Team and the Process Corrective Action Board meetings as required to support continuous improvement in software engineering and SCM
    • Implement Process Improvement Change Requests (PICRs) as they are assigned
    • Support driving the SCM organization towards moving current CM approved tools/repositories to Agile tools/repositories.

    Basic Qualifications for a Principal (3):

    • Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of experience and 3 years of direct software or configuration management experience
    • Experience with coordinating/creating configured builds for test and delivery
    • Understanding of SCM principles, concepts, industry practices and standards
    • Understanding of the software development lifecycle, including the Agile framework
    • Experience with configuration and administration of a software configuration management tool
    • Ability to review and modify software configuration management processes
    • Current/active U.S Government issued DoD Secret Clearance - issued or adjudicated within the past five (5) years

    Basic Qualifications for a Sr. Principal (4):

    • Bachelor's degree with at least 9 years of experience and 5 years of direct software or configuration management experience
    • Experience with coordinating/creating configured builds for test and delivery
    • Understanding of SCM principles, concepts, industry practices and standards is required
    • Understanding of the software development lifecycle, including the Agile framework
    • Experience with configuration and administration of a software configuration management tool
    • Ability to develop, review and modify software configuration management processes
    • Current/active U.S Government issued DoD Secret Clearance - issued or adjudicated within the past five (5) years

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Knowledge of scripting languages
    • Experience with implementing SCM on a large-scale program
    • Experience with configuration and administration of DevOps tools such as Jenkins
    • Experience with multiple tools and environments (Git, Jira, StarTeam, and Windows)

    Salary Range: $95,000 - $142,400
    Salary Range 2: $117,700 - $176,500

    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

    Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
