Principal / Sr. Principal Structural Analysis Engineer w / Active Security Clearance (AHT)

Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Principal / Sr. Principal Structural Analysis Engineer.
This position will be located in Northridge, CA.

• 4 x 10 work scheduled (Monday - Thursday Friday off)
• Must be on site.

Description:
We are looking for Engineers who might have specific structural engineering specialties which may include;

• Flutter, Dynamics, Static, Fatigue and DaDT analysis.
• Your day-to-day activities will be to analyze, research and develop structural engineering analysis packages involving metals, non-metallic or composite structural materials for R&D, product design, or operation of product.
• This might include structures, mechanical.

Basic Qualifications:

For a Principal Structural Engineer (Level 3):
BS and 5 years of experience or MS and 3 years of experience in related field.

For a Sr. Principal Structural Engineer (Level 4)
BS and 9 years of experience or MS and 7 years of experience in related field.

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering
• Experience in Structural Analysis Methods and documentation, including hand-sheet analysis, as well as the development and manipulation of large Finite Element Models.
• Must have the ability to obtain a DoD clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active DoD clearance preferred, not necessary on first day.
• Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
• Experience in Missile.
• Aerospace structural analysis experience using NASTRAN, PATRAN, ABAQUS or FEMAP.
• Experience in Metallic or / composite Structural Analysis of primary and secondary aircraft/ Missile structures.
• Experience with analysis of composite and/or metallic structure or repair methods.
• Experience in structural testing (building block or full-scale test)
• Experience as a Lead Engineer managing a small group of analysts.
• Experience working on military aircraft.

Salary Range: $104,600 USD - $157,000 USD
Salary Range 2: $129,700 USD - $194,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
