s Engineering team at our Promontory, Utah Plant.
This position will be to a swing shift position supporting the operations team.
Role Description & Responsibilities:
• Able to demonstrate and instill a strong safety culture in daily operations
• Developing and continuously improving manufacturing processes
• Supporting manufacturing operations, to include composites manufacturing, machining, rubber layup and molding, chemical bonding, primers and coatings, and complex assemblies
• Performing cause and corrective action investigations to permanently eliminate defects using root cause analysis tools
• Working with concurrent engineering team to create Build-to-Packages (https://i.e. engineering and planning documents)
• Authoring, updating and reviewing shop floor planning
• Preparing and presenting technical presentations to VSET, leadership, and to the customers for review and approval
• Performing table top reviews
• Monitoring production events and utilizing SPC tools to ensure process control
• Developing and incorporating process improvements
• Troubleshooting production/tooling/facility issues and implementing improvements and solutions
• Supporting design, checkout, qualification and implementation of new or modified tooling or equipment
Skills & Qualifications
• Self-Starter that takes initiative to complete tasks and assignments with little supervision
• Good problem-solving skills and strong oral and written communication skills
• Good organization and multi-tasking skills
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing Techniques
• Basic Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Interpreting blueprints and specifications, GD&T standards
• Experience writing shop planning (preferred)
• Experience with 3D modeling software
• Experience working with rubbers, metals, and composite materials (preferred)
• Strong inter-personal and Customer Service Skills
• Statistical Process Controls (SPC)
Education/Certifications
• https://B.S. degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Aerospace Engineering or related engineering degree with 2 years' experience with Bachelor degree or Master degree
Position may be filled at a higher level requiring:
• https://B.S. degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Aerospace Engineering or related engineering degree with 5 years' experience with Bachelor degree or 3 years experience with Master degree
Salary Range: $73,400 - $110,000
Salary Range 2: $90,400 - $135,600
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
