SSSD has an opening for a Calibration Technician 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, California.
Calibrates electronic test measuring equipment and signal generating equipment to conform to set standards. Tests, calibrates, adjusts, and maintains electromechanical, mechanical, optical, pneumatic, hydro mechanical, and pressure-type measuring and indicating instruments. Sets up calibration sequences, methods and procedures according to detailed specifications, blueprints, drawings, and requirements. Disassembles, cleans, repairs, and replaces defective parts of test equipment such as pressure gauges and tension meters. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
The RF Calibration Technician 3 is distinguished by demonstrated competence in executing unique measurements, repairing and calibrating a wide variety of equipment in different disciplines, and detecting and resolving difficult problems. Calibrates test and measuring equipment which fail to respond to normal diagnostic and corrective practice. Develops diagnostic techniques and adapts equipment to accomplish necessary repairs and measurements. Adapts measuring equipment, standards and techniques to accomplish unique measurements beyond their routine uses. Documents procedures, methods and systems for performing measurements.
The ideal candidate has e xperience working with but not limited to standard electrical RF Active/Passive equipment: Power Meters, Power Sensors, Attenuators, Frequency Standard, Calibration kits, Network Analyzer, Signal Generator, Phase Noise, and Spectrum Analyzer.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Salary Range: $61,700 - $102,800
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
