    Northrop Grumman's Operations Group Bravo, Mission Command Training Program (MCTP) is seeking a SCA Secretary II - Administrative Assistant/Travel Coordinator to join our team in Leavenworth, Kansas. The Administrative Assistant will support the Operations Group Team Chief and a team of 42 other team members who travel 5 to 6 times per year to exercises in CONUS and OCONUS. The position requires full time work on-site at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, in the military headquarters of Operations Group Bravo, MCTP. The Administrative Assistant position is a non-traveling, 40-hour/week position. The candidate will be self-sufficient, willing to grow in the position and one that seeks solutions to issues raised and questions asked by Operations Group personnel. There will be interface with multiple service organizations including Travel, Human Relations, Information Technology, Security, Property and 5 other MCTP Administrative Assistants. The candidate selected must possess strong communication, time management, organizational skills and be able to maintain superior attendance and punctuality.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Report to the Team Chief and support Senior Analyst Manager and Senior Control Workstation Instructor Controller Manager.
    • Communicate with Operations Group Bravo Team members for proper use of existing and new Network Codes for labor and travel requirements.
    • Understand and use Exercise Planning and Travel Management System (EPTMS) to ensure exercises and events are properly updated with correct information for manning, hotel, rental car, as well as obtaining travel authorizations, purchasing airline tickets, reserving rental cars, and processing Non-Standard Travel Requests through the Team Chief.
    • Travel Operations Group Bravo contractor personnel and other supporting teams when necessary
    • Work with the Operations Group Bravo Exercise Points of Contact (POCs) and other team secretaries for travel and exercise coordination.
    • Work with sub-contractor teams for exercise support and EPTMS requirements for exercise building, manning, rental car rosters, hotel assignments, and travel authorizations.
    • Audit expense reports for Northrop Grumman Operations Group Bravo travelers' in CONCUR and submit for payment. Assist travelers with CONCUR questions.
    • Responsible for communicating to the team any changes to standard work practices, information that affects the team, social events, and PMO travel meeting decisions.
    • Create NGSC memo(s) to support travel anomalies that occur outside the parameters of travel authorizations.
    • Assist in issues with airlines and the travel agency while team is traveling.
    • Assist in the training of new Admin Assistants.
    • Interface with military supply for supplies as necessary.

    Basic Qualifications.

    • High School Degree OR; General Education Diploma GED
    • 4 years' of progressive Administrative/Clerical/ Travel Manager work experience
    • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
    • The ability to acquire and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Military exposure or experience

    Salary Range: $37,700 USD - $62,800 USD

    Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
