Northrop Grumman Strategic Space Systems is seeking a Senior Principal Program Cost Schedule Control Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in Redondo Beach, CA.

The Senior Principal Program Cost Control Analyst will report to the HBTSS Business Manager and will be responsible for supporting the HBTSS program in compliance with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) requirements and program implementation. This role does not require an initial clearance to start but requires the candidate to be able to obtain an active TS Clearance.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Maintain cost control system, monitors and controls costs, including Earned Value Management System (EVMS) compliance
  • Perform analyses and prepares reports in order to ensure that the contract is within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines
  • Prepare and maintain spend plans; develop and review Estimates at Complete (EACs); incorporate changes into the EVMS system in order to maintain cost and schedule baselines
  • Assist Control Account Managers (CAMs) with EVMS activities including: Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) development and alignment; time-phasing of tasks; developing and documenting earned value methodologies; performance measurement; estimate to complete analysis and updates and variance analysis research and reporting; development of pressures and opportunities
  • Lead Annual Comprehensive EACs (CEACs)
  • Create weekly and monthly headcount and financial reports and charts in support of program management and program reviews; identify cost impacts and develop recovery plans as required
  • Responsible for actuals reconciliation, budget change requests and ensuring proper accounting and maintaining associated logs
  • Incorporate contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract in order to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines
  • Supervise and train junior cost control analyst

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 9 years' experience in any combination of the following: Business, Finance, or Accounting; or Master's Degree with 7 years of experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Working experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)
  • Experience with financial control concepts and principles to solve business issues
  • Proficiency of the following systems or software: Cobra or similar project management software, wInsight, SAP Management Project System Modules and Business Warehouse (BW)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree
  • Working experience with IWOs and Suppliers
  • Experience with FFP type contracts

Hybrid work schedule available.
This position is Eligible for Target Incentive (TI) Bonus.

Salary Range: $103,900 USD - $155,900 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
