    Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an Integrated Command Center (ICC)/ Launch Control (LC) Deployment Manager 2 in support of the Sentinel program. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force's sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities, and associated infrastructure. This position is located: Roy, Utah.

    What You'll Get To Do:

    The Deployment Manager 2 will be responsible for leading the development of engineering products facilitating Engineering & Manufacturing Development (EMD) Command and Control site deployments. Primary responsibilities are the management of cost, schedule, and technical performance of the EMD Launch Control & Integrated Command Center deployment engineering.

    Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Providing leadership and excellence oversight for a growing Deployment team focused on developing and maturing deployment plans and work instructions of the Sentinel Launch Control & Integrated Command Center
    • Ensuring seamless installation & integration of Sentinel Launch Control & Integrated Command Center deployments
    • Identification, distribution, tracking, and completion of program requirements
    • Developing new business opportunities
    • Work closely with the Sentinel project leads and other core organization leads in defining, executing, and growing the organization's people and business
    • Cultivating customer relationships and intimacy to develop further opportunities within the customer community
    • Establishing a program organization that effectively addresses customer requirements and incorporates the necessary internal and external sub-organizations
    • Delivering presentations to customers, executive management and other program stakeholders
    • Leading and directing cross-functional Integrated Program Teams (IPT) to meet program cost, schedule and technical performance objectives
    • Development and adherence to budget baselines utilizing Earned Value Management (EVM) or similar cost & schedule control methodologies and tools
    • Establishment and management of the program and subordinate baselines
    • Measuring and reporting program performance
    • Participating in the negotiation of contracts, contract changes, specifications, operating budgets, schedule milestones, and key terms and conditions
    • Identifying, allocating and managing program resources, including workforce planning
    • Managing suppliers to meet program objectives
    • Ensuring program team understands and adheres to contract scope, and manages change through control board activities
    • Conducting thorough risk & opportunity management practices including identification, mitigation and realization
    • Demonstrate a commitment to ethics and integrity, and the capability to innovate while challenging traditional ways of doing business
    • Transition innovative solutions, technologies, and advanced concepts for US strategic deterrence interests for product development and fielding

    This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

    Job Qualifications
    You'll Bring These Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline and 6 years of related technical experience, or a master's degree in a STEM discipline and 4 years of experience
    • At least 1 year leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule
    • 5 years of experience with Land Base Missile Systems modification deployment programs
    • 3 years of experience with DoD weapon system conceptual and preliminary design, particularly related to design analysis cycles, cost versus capability trade studies, and multi-discipline design integration
    • Experience leading the team to perform at cost and achieving all requirements as either project lead, integrated program team or cost account manager experience
    • Must have https://U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret or Top-Secret Clearance and ability to attain Special Program Access.

    These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

    • 8 years minimum experience with engineering/sustaining ICBM systems
    • Experience with risk management databases, engineering concepts, and engineering developmental tools such as: finite element analysis, computer aided design, product life cycle management, requirements management
    • Master of Science and/or Engineering in STEM
    • Experience with NX, CPLM, ABAQUS, ANSYS, DOORS, and CAMEO
    • Active Top Secret DoD Security Clearance with Special Program Access

    Salary Range: $116,200 - $174,400

    Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
