Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for a Principal or Sr. Principal System Administrator to work in the Chantilly, VA . We are a team of engineers working together to achieve our mission. Our team works with pride across the organization toward a common goal: global security. Together, we protect our troops, public safety, information, and our planet. Responsibilities:

  • Support will be provided onsite, remotely, over the phone, or via email.
  • Develop solutions for network, desktop, and server problems.
  • Analyze existing systems and make proactive recommendations.

This position can be filled at a level 4 or 5 based on the qualifications below.

Basic Qualifications :

  • Level 4: 9 year's system administration experience with a bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related field. Or, 7 years with a Master Degree, or 4 years with PhD Degree. An additional 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Level 5: 14 year's system administration experience with a bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related field. Or, 12 years with a Master Degree, or 2 years with PhD Degree. An additional 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Experience with Linux operating systems including CentOS
  • Experience with Server Operating System MS 2016
  • Knowledge of Power Shell and Basic commands
  • Knowledge of MS patching process using WSUS and SCCM
  • Knowledge of Active Directory
  • Knowledge of Group Policy creation and Maintenance

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Systems Administration/Systems Engineering Certification in Microsoft.
  • Knowledge of Virtualization using Vspere/VMWare technology
  • Experience in Application Support to multiple customers
  • Experience in managing Infrastructure fabric
  • Vulnerability mitigation and A&A accreditation process

Salary Range: $138,300 USD - $207,500 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
