Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) has an exciting career opportunity for a Sr. Principal Production Planning and Scheduler to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in support of the MQ-4C Triton program test activities. This position will be located at NAS (Naval Air Station) Patuxent River, MD.
The Triton - MQ-4C ITT (Integrated & Test Team) is a US Navy & Northrop Grumman combined test team working together to ensure future capabilities are tested and evaluated in an efficient manner. The selected candidate will perform a variety of data collection and technical support services on the Triton Air vehicle and Ground Control Stations; and support the research and procurement of MQ-4C unmanned air vehicle components in direct support of life cycle sustainment.
The Triton Production Planning and Scheduler will direct the day-to-day execution of aircraft and ground control segment maintenance supporting the flight and ground test programs. The successful candidate will ensure the air vehicles are maintained in accordance with Triton Contractor Operating Procedures and are ready for testing to support a dynamic ground and flight test schedule. Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills, an ability to lead a large team while working in a dynamic environment, demonstrated initiative and willingness to solve problems with long-term solutions, outstanding people management and interpersonal skills, and an ability to interface with all levels of functional and project management while integrating with host entities.
• Directs the performance of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on three MQ-4C autonomous aircraft and four ground control segments.
• Ensures aircraft are ready for ground and flight testing by verifying configuration and releasing the aircraft safe for flight.
• Responsible for providing inputs to update Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals.
The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels. The selected candidate will need either to be located at NAS Patuxent River, or be willing to relocate to the NAS Patuxent River area.
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university and 10 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree and 8 years of related experience, or 14+ years of experience in lieu of the degree will be considered.
• A current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance or higher is required to start, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance.
• Experience in Navy/Marine Corps maintenance control to include releasing aircraft safe for flight
• Previous Unmanned Air Vehicle system test or maintenance experience is highly desired.
• Experience with aircraft maintenance in a DCMA 8210 and/or CNAFINST 4790 environment strongly desired.
Salary Range: $94,500 USD - $141,700 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
