As a* Supply Chain Subcontract Specialists *- Level 4 (Senior Principal) at our Tactical Space Systems Division, you'll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one.
    Position may be in one of the following locations:

    • Dulles, VA

    • Gilbert, AZ

    • Virtual/ Remote telecommuter
      The selected candidate will be responsible for Subcontract Management in the Radio Frequency (RF), Command and Data Handling (C&DH) and Guidance Navigation Control (GNC) categories.
      Job Responsibilities:

    • Subcontract Execution: Review Purchase Requisitions for completeness, prepare Request for Quotation (RFQ)/Request for Proposal (RFP), evaluate suppliers' quotes/proposals for compliance with RFQ/RFP and negotiate and award subcontracts to suppliers and document the subcontract folders in accordance with the local procurement policies and procedures, including long term agreements.

    • Co-lead in the source selection team for competitive procurements.

    • Perform cost and/or price analysis to determine price reasonableness. Negotiate with suppliers on price, schedule, terms and conditions and any other contractual requirements. May lead negotiations with supplier.

    • Work in and support cross functional program teams including, but not limited to, Supplier Performance, Supply Chain Program Management, Contracts, Engineering, Finance and Planning.

    • Adhere to Government and internal procurement policies and execute compliant Subcontracts. Expected to work closely with the Compliance team.
      Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree

    • Minimum of 8 years (Master's with 6 years) of relevant experience in contracts, supply chain, and/or procurement.

    • Knowledge of government acquisition process with a strong knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and agency supplements, such as Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS), NASA (NFS).

    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
      Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with Deltek Costpoint.

    • Self-starter with problem solving skills.

    • Ability to mentor other subcontract professionals of varying levels of experience.
      *Salary Range: *$98,100 - $170,300
      The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
      Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
