Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is looking for you to join our team as a Sr. Principal Test Engineer - I&T Technical Coordinator based out of Colorado Springs, CO.

What You'll get to Do:

  • This position requires daily technical and programmatic interaction with civilian, military, contract leadership, and technical personnel at MDIOC and Highway 83 LM Offices.
  • The primary focus of this role includes the following tasks: Manage Formal Program Risks Related to T02 (Operations and Sustainment) System Test activities and Verification Test activities.
  • Provide Engineering Estimates in support of Task Order testing activities and Problem Report resolutions. Support EOS/EOL activities related to Ops and Deployment.
  • In addition, Candidate will engage the C2BMC (Command & Control, Battle Management, and Communications) system for the purpose of technical support to Agile Product Teams, Integration functional area, and Test functional areas to conduct hardware, software, and system level verification and validation testing and System Testing.
  • This position, working closely with the C2BMC National Team I&T Technical Lead and CTB Lab Manager, is responsible for: Scheduling Lab test and installation activities; coordinate with C2BMC Lab Coordinators and the C2BMC NT Integration Team on spiral release installation, integration, and verification schedules in the test labs, and various patches and upgrades in support of Ops.
  • This role is a key stakeholder in test lab build out design meetings and design reviews. Will coordinating with Tech. Leads (SE, SWE, Deployment, CTB Integration, CTB Lab Manager, Ops) and Cross Functional Product Team (CFPT) Product Owners for arranging CFPT and Ops plans and workloads to most effectively comply with Task Order baselines.
  • Assisting in the resolution of test technical issues, Execution of test tasks in accordance with program processes, Support to Task Order and customer reviews.
  • Support metrics collection and analysis for reporting to customer stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications:

If applicable, please note your updated security clearance and IAT/relevant certifications on your resume.

  • An active Secret clearance is required.
  • 9 Years with Bachelor's degree in a related field; 13 years' experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Knowledge of the integration and testing of large software systems in a virtual (VMWare) environment, including interfaces to external systems.
  • Basic technical understanding of computer network systems, servers, VM, Multicast techniques, including hardware such as firewalls, routers, switches, Blade servers,etc.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with hardware and software verification and validation processes and techniques, test reporting, regression testing, and test data analysis.
  • Able to assist test engineers with technical troubleshooting and analysis of test-bed configurations for hardware, software, and Information Assurance issues or functionality.
  • Able to determine necessary Test Lab configurations required to support planned testing activities, and work with Lab managers to ensure Lab configurations are correct and timely.
  • Daily use of computers with Windows, MSOffice, or Linux products a must.
  • Software and/or system testing experience, metrics data management and reporting/communication.
  • Some Project Management experience/skills also required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Agile Test Driven Development; Knowledge and experience with DOORS, JIRA, Confluence, Test Management For JIRA (TM4J) or similar applications, experience with test automation tools such as Gherkin and Cucumber.
  • Knowledge of basic message formats such as TADIL-J, HTML, ATOMS.
  • Familiarity with general IT systems, software systems, networking systems, and Cyber Security considerations is also beneficial.

Salary Range: $103,900 USD - $155,900 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
