Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is hiring a Staff level Electronics Engineer, RF Sensor Specialist to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Air Dominance division. This role is located in Melbourne, FL.

The Air Dominance Division is developing advanced tactical aircraft for the current and future battlespace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • This role is for an RF specialist with experience in RF electromagnetics at the VHF, UHF, L, and S-bands, RF propagation, analog & digital signal processing, and radar architecture to be a technical representative to the sensor supplier base.
  • In this role, the sensor specialist will inform the Systems Engineering team as to whether the technical requirements are achievable and will work with the supplier(s) to gauge their performance against the specifications. In any and all supplier interactions, the candidate will interface with Global Supply Chain (GSC) at both the supplier(s) site(s) as well as multiple NGAS sites.
  • The ideal candidate will have a background in one or more of the following: Complex electromagnetics, computational electromagnetic modeling, as-installed phased array performance, phased array modes, phased array theory, signal processing techniques, supplier management, requirements writing, derivation, and validation, sensor ICDs, or digital engineering/model-based systems engineering of RF sensors.
  • This position will require up to 40% travel.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor of Science degree AND 14 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering that includes a background in sensors, OR a Master's degree AND 12 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering that includes a background in sensors, OR a Ph.D. AND 9 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering that includes a background in sensors.
  • Must be interested in new business development and capture related activities.
  • Must have strong technical writing and communication skills, and willingness to be flexible in evolving program environments.
  • Must have an active DoD Secret clearance (or higher) that is in-scope (granted or renewed within the last 6 years or in continuous evaluation).
  • Must be able to attain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR/SAP).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with developing and presenting technical documentation and briefings to the customer and organization leadership
  • Experience in new business development and proposal management, from capture planning to proposal delivery.
  • Active in-scope Top Secret clearance with current or previous Special Program Access (PAR)

Salary Range: $134,700 USD - $202,100 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
