Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Staff Mission Assurance Engineer who brings space mission system leadership, engineering, capture, and proposal experience to a growth oriented organization. Prior experience in satellite design, development, integration, testing, operations, and/or ground support is desired. This role will leverage your knowledge of all elements of the space mission design process including initial concept development, system-level trades, requirements definition, spacecraft design, and performance assessment. Knowledge of Space, Ground, mission operations, and Launch segment inter-relationships to support quality assurance of a mission baseline is desired. In this position, the candidate will be responsible for defining the mission assurance approach and supporting payload manufacturing, spacecraft design, performance, and affordability analyses, as well as support for ground segment and O&M support.

• 10+ years systems engineering experience with at least 5 years working space systems engineering
• Experience with requirements development, flow-down, analysis, verification and validation
• Quality Assurance experience with payload, spacecraft bus, antenna, integration and test, launch, ground systems, operations and maintenance activities
• Experience with development, integration, and testing of integrated space systems
• Leadership skills to develop proposals for Government and Commercial customers
• Ability to work independently, determine and develop approach to solutions
• Evidence of problem solving and time management skills
• Experience working with multi-disciplined teams
• Excellent presentation skills and negotiation skills
Salary Range: $135,400 USD - $203,200 USD
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
