Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a GBSD Command & Launch (C&L) Operational Concept (OPSCON) Lead to lead the C&L development and integration of Element OPSCON activities. Seeking a Staff Systems Engineer . This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.

What you'll get to do:

  • This position will support the Requirements, Verification, and OPSCON team for the C&L Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) team. The OPSCON Lead will provide leadership, oversight, and overall ownership for the:
  • Definition, coordination, and facilitation of OPSCON related activities across Command and Launch Elements , GBSD teams, and with the customer
  • This individual will maintain technical cognizance of C&L interdependencies.
  • This individual will incorporate cross-IPT feedback to support the development and approval of the products.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80A. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

You'll bring these qualifications:
This requisition may be filled at either a Principal level or level Sr. Principal level.

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline 14 years relevant experience with Bachelors in Science; 12 years with Masters; 9 years with PHD
  • Experience in Aerospace and/or System Engineering
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years
  • Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain specific program access
  • Candidate must have experience developing and incorporating System Use Cases into Systems Engineering design process

These qualifications would be nice to have:

  • Systems Engineering experience and understanding of the systems engineering V
  • Experience with C2 systems
  • Experience developing OPSCONS or CONOPS.
  • Experience in the military aerospace development environment is preferred.
  • Experience with weapon systems
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Experience with Agile Development

Salary Range: $134,700 USD - $202,100 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
