The Assistant Director, Distribution Financial Analyst leads the development of compensation, recognition and benefit programs for the company’s advisors and field leaders. This role will support the team’s partnership with others across the company and relationships with members of the sales organization by providing subject matter expertise, developing and sharing of best practices, and applying best practices to the work. This role will own the ongoing management of Total Rewards programs to ensure that designs are appropriately adjusted and changes are effectively implemented to maintain programs that are competitive, aligned with best practices, compliant, and financially sound.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Supports development of strategy and designs advisor and field leader reward programs to align to and drive the company strategy by providing analytical support, facilitating discussions and partnering with others

Supports and/or leads execution of updates to existing programs and implementation of new efforts

Ensures Field Rewards programs are competitive, drive the desired field behaviors, and are sound investments for the policyowner and other constituents

Keeps aware of competitive, regulatory, and economic environment that would impact Total Reward programs and raises awareness of concerns

Provides expertise in co-creation of designs with field partners through the Field Committee structure – MP Performance & Resource, MD Compensation Committee, FR Compensation Committee, Field Benefits Committee, Honors Committee and other Ad Hoc Committees as required

Provides expertise on risk product compensation, IPS compensation, bonuses, field management contracts, ensemble compensation, retirement benefits, medical benefits and other ancillary field benefits and recognition of advisors and field leaders

Analyzes requests and makes recommendations for exceptions to guidelines and policies evaluating all variables, including impact to the system of one-off solutions.

Supports the development of the COE through management and sharing of best practices within and outside of the COE.

Provides consultation on programs and award topics to members of distribution and field partners

Supports development of team members through mentorship, guidance and coaching

Bring your best! What the role requires:

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, finance, accounting or actuarial science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Eight years progressively responsible work experiences that required focusing on issue and project leadership and financial and data analysis.
• Proven experience in translating complex technical information for non-technical audiences required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills along with the ability to build rapport and gain acceptance at all levels in the Home Office and field.
• Proven ability to effectively influence outcomes and negotiate with key business partners while driving alignment.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain cooperative and supportive relationships.
• Proven ability to solve new, complex problems in an innovative way.
• Skilled at using Excel or other tools for research and analysis.
• Demonstrated ability working with NM field force preferred.
