Job Summary
This is a Field Marketing Manager (Contractor) position covering assigned subregions within the West Enterprise Region. We are looking for an experienced Field Marketing Manager to develop, execute, measure, and optimize strategic demand generation programs. This role is aligned with the Nutanix Americas Marketing organization and will report to the Head of West Enterprise Marketing.
Effective collaboration with field sales and cross-functional marketing teams is a must in order to build demand generation programs and execute events and activities that effectively engage existing customers and net new prospects.
The ideal candidate is a data-driven, creative critical thinker with strong communication, organizational, and planning skills, who is passionate about working with a sales team to achieve their revenue goals. This position is a remote work position and ideally based in either MN or IA.
Key Responsibilities
Planning: Develop, execute, measure, and optimize a strategic demand generation plan that leverages a diverse set of marketing programs to achieve quarterly performance metrics. Program responsibilities include (but not limited to) custom virtual and in-person events, webinars, executive events, third party (regional) conferences, and account-based marketing. Targeted outcomes will include expanding or accelerating business within existing customer accounts and driving opportunities within net-new prospect accounts.
Communications: Use excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to ensure a high level of awareness, excitement, and adoption of marketing programs by our sales and technical stakeholders. Success in this area requires an individual who enjoys developing relationships and rapport by talking to others directly, communicating by email and slack, as well as presenting ideas and information in team meetings.
Results & Analysis: Marketing investments will be made in order to meet and exceed key quarterly metrics goals. Regional SFDC-based reporting on program performance, feedback, return on investment, and attribution will provide key insights and data. Track lead flow and marketing funnel progression for all activities to evaluate results against goals and use insights to optimize future investments. Set goals as FM that they need to hit. Dashboards in salesforce, monitor and adjust as needed. Keep the awareness.
Logistics: Ensure all critical components for successful execution are in place for field programs, including developing all necessary communications (i.e., invitations, registration pages, information sheets to inform key stakeholders, etc.), speaker prep and/or coordination, logistics, materials shipments, etc.
Engagement: Identify and manage relevant industry associations and ensure proper level of engagement and leverage.
Administrative & Budget Management: Maximize assigned budget, ensuring effective spend aligned with ROI and key priorities. Discipline in maintaining accurate records and reporting, as well as fully executing available budget to drive value for our team is a must.
Qualifications & Education
5-7 years of experience in marketing to B2B enterprise technology with preferred experience in marketing to enterprise level accounts / audiences.
Proficient in modern marketing and demand generation channels and when to deploy each type of tactic for maximum ROI.
Strong project management, negotiation and decision-making skills and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced and high-energy environment.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills (writing samples required)
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and working knowledge of Salesforce.com, Google Docs, and Splash required.
Experience working with Sales teams required.
Some light travel is expected, approx. 15%
Bachelor’s degree required.
