Your role:
You will manage the sales growth and delivery of a professional services business related to the IT industry. Leading an organization of over 400 people, including global leaders of Services Sales, Residents and Technical Account Managers (TAMs), and Education and Consulting Services. You will be tasked with transforming and scaling the organization for growth while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and adherence to critical operational and financial metrics.
Keys:
- Experience with modern software development methodologies emphasizing software-defined data centers, infrastructure as code, complex distributed systems, and cloud-based computing.
- Having a deep understanding of infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS), platform-as-a-service (PaaS), Software-as-a-service, and hybrid cloud computing environments.
- Experience in a fast-paced, startup (or startup-like) environment and experience building teams is a big plus.
- Proven ability to interact and communicate with CxO-level personnel and navigate customer organizations to ensure successful project delivery and acceptance.
- Familiarity with systems management concepts, processes, and standards (preferably ITIL), including capacity/performance, storage, and network management.

- Define and drive Global services strategy in line with the Global vision to create best-in-class services capability with a modern delivery approach and global resource leverage.
- Deep Product Knowledge. Develop and maintain a solid technical understanding of all Nutanix services offerings, product lines, and corporate messaging.
- Business Accountability for growth, profitability and efficiency of the Professional Services Group across all lines of business; Services Sales, Education, Residents/TAMs, and Consulting Services
- Customer Experience. Drive high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Continuous Improvement. Establish a repeatable cadence in partnering with Nutanix Product Marketing, Product Management, and Engineering to provide feedback to the product development lifecycle.
- Drive adoption and increased consumption of Nutanix’s products and services.
- First principles thinker. Ability to set aside your prior experiences and instincts/biases when necessary and think through situations from first principles.
- Company Builder. Ability to combine the scrappiness of a builder/start‐up leader with the organizational and diplomatic discipline needed in a big company. Ability to scale up or scale down as needed.
- Executive Presence. Instill confidence in prospects, customers, partners about Nutanix's service delivery capabilities. Crisp, clear and concise communicator – both written and verbal.
- Trusted Advisor. Earn our customer’s trust by delivering outsized business outcomes. Address and manage complex customer issues and provide recommendations aligned with account strategy.
- Relationship Building. Develop and build strong relationships both internally and externally. Internal: Regional Sales leaders, Marketing, Product Management and Engineering. External: Prospects, Customers and Partners. Be someone they regularly rely on to solve problems and deliver customer delight that ultimately leads to product sales growth.
- Team/Organizational Builder. Hire/develop the right talent. Create an inclusive culture of high standards, personal excellence and accountability, challenging meaningful work, intense customer focus. Inspire/motivate the team to be best-in-class professional services professionals.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 15+ years of relevant IT industry experience (compute, networking, storage, cloud).
- 12+ years’ direct people management experience leading an organization of 800+ in professional services teams, preferably with a product company.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Possess a positive attitude with high self-awareness, professionalism, and ownership.
- Ability to identify, attract and retain top talent.
- Strong understanding of the partner ecosystem. Ability to provide support, guidance, and oversight to partners who deliver on behalf of Nutanix and ensure their success.
- Proven track record planning and managing large, customer-facing programs of work and/or IT transformations.
- Experience solution selling with an overwhelming belief that solutions increase customer success and drive product adoption.
- Strong skills in strategic planning, critical thinking, and financial analysis.
- Strong stakeholder management along with the ability to build one’s own “brand”.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with an ability to manage competing client demands.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $381,840 to $572,760 USD [year]; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
