About Team and Product

Nutanix Database Service (NDB) is a DBaaS (Database as a Service) product for on-premise Nutanix customers. The product is expanding to a Hybrid Multi Cloud Solution with a scalable architecture. The NDB engineering team is distributed across India, US, and Serbia. The QA team is entirely located in India. As we plan to scale NDB Engineering for the next generation product and build a world class engineering organization, we are looking for a QA Director that will own Quality of NDB across on-prem and in Cloud. If the idea of starting small and building big excites you, you will be a good fit for this team. With NDB, you'll find no shortage of challenging problems to work on. Responsibilities

Own Quality of NDB Product on-premises and in Cloud.

Drive the Quality with 100% Automation of End to End, Stress, Scalability, Performance, Usability, Security and Longevity Tests. 

Develop a deep understanding of customer use cases and drive engineers to design tests for customer requirements.

Work closely with Development and QA managers, tech leads and release management to deliver high-quality features in a fast-paced environment.

Deliver High Quality Releases on a monthly basis using CI/CD and Automation Pipeline.

Coach/Mentor Staff and Senior Engineers in the team to enable them to grow to the next level.

Requirements

Experience working with the compute/storage services of Azure, AWS, GCP.

Experience qualifying SaaS applications running on public cloud infrastructure.

Experience designing and developing Automation Frameworks.

Experience qualifying Database (Postgres, SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB).or DBaaS or other as-a-service products. 

Experience delivering storage, networking, and virtualization products.(Preferred)

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required. Advanced degree in Computer Science preferred.

Experience of 15 - 20 years developing and/or qualifying highly scalable and available software.
