Nutanix Licensing is used by all our products.  As we move to subscriptions, offering flexible license models has become a critical success factor to address our customers’ desire to move Nutanix infrastructure across a hybrid multi-cloud environment. We aim to make licensing a delightful experience for our customers as they move our products or applications from cloud to cloud.

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to drive product strategy/roadmap, feature requirements and prioritization for Nutanix Licensing. You will be the point person to help identify requirements and use-cases, research customer needs, and drive compelling roadmap. This position will be based at Nutanix HQ in San Jose, CA.

 Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders such as product managers, pricing team and revenue operations to define the licensing requirements of our products.  
  • Create and maintain product vision, strategy and roadmap for Nutanix licensing portal and run time.
  • Define user stories and workflows for all our licensing offerings.  This includes defining the workflow and data requirements as well as work with User Experience design team to build user interfaces.
  • Work with the engineering team to test, validate and implement the features of licensing portal and the licensing runtime.  
  • Collaborate with our stakeholders via customer councils, internal councils with the field and support to continuously improve our licensing.
  • Be Nutanix’s spokesperson on our licensing direction and explaining how our licensing works to both customers and the field.

Qualifications:

  • You must have a passion for building and scaling great products and services.
  • BS or MS in Computer Science. MBA preferred.
  • 3+ years of product management experience
    • Preferably in building licensing/subscription management products for enterprise customers
    • Alternatively in building enterprise class infrastructure management products, public cloud services or related offerings
  • Proven experience in delivering software products on time using Scrum or other agile software development practices.
  • Technical background with strong understanding of software and web development fundamentals. Minimum of 3+ years of software development experience required. 
  • Prior experience working with geographically distributed engineering team.
  • Attention to detail in executing complex projects with cross-functional dependencies.
  • Strong organizational skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience in high-level business discussions.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • Aptitude to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $140,800 and $282,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
