The Opportunity

Be a key participant in driving rapid growth through manufacturing and factory operations efficiency. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter who can drive activities to successful completion. The successful candidate will have a technical background in electronic components and systems, with desired emphasis on server and storage platforms.

Your Role

• Drive component qualifications (NICs, DIMMs, and GPUs) and develop internal specifications.
• Have the ability to generate internal and external specifications based on product, engineering, factory test, and quality requirements.
• Work closely with suppliers, test, quality and hardware engineering on component qualifications and failure analysis.
• Transfer product-related information to contract manufacturers and ensure production readiness.
• Determine root cause of yield detractors seen in the factory and field and initiate corrective action.
• Make recommendations for improving product reliability; work cross functionally to incorporate reliability and serviceability in design.
• Provide technical guidance on issues from customer, field and factory failures to supplier quality.
• Manage engineering change orders, participate in change review boards and manage product BOMs.

 What You’ll Bring  

• Broad background in the Storage/Server related products/systems.
• Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills, including ability to present technical issues and project statuses at the Management level.
• Strong problem solving, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills and does NOT settle for complacency.
• Ability to distinguish between factory process, factory test, HW and/or SW product issues.
• Ability to support Product/Application level debugging that involves hardware, firmware, software, and system configuration issues.
• Ability to support and provide first level triage for all factory product related issues.
• Ability to support and drive supplier component failure analysis.
• Familiar with test and debug sw tools, for example iperf, memtest and how to interpret smart attributes for drives.
• Ability to express complex technical concepts simply and effectively to gain support for test development initiatives and at times influence decisions.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams to deliver objectives.
• Ability to handle stressful situations where you are working under tight time constraints.
• Capability to understand product specifications and features to drive appropriate testing requirements and fault detection through FMEA.
• Experience in DFx principles and methodologies. Support the development of new products and drive Design for Manufacturing excellence via DFx reviews with relevant contributing teams.
• Experience in NPI development cycles which required collaboration with Product Marking, Hardware, Software, Quality, Test Engineering, Manufacturing, Service and Product Compliance to define and document early in the product development life cycle. 
• Engage MFG Facility and ensure transfer readiness, completion, and timely submission of deliverables from the CM/JDM/ODM partners.
• Provide product engineering support to design and/or process alterations to existing products based on field issue and factory quality data.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $108,000 and $216,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
