    Position summary

    In this position, you will get to:

    • Troubleshoot and Diagnoses problems of failed units by analyzing product operational characteristics and performing various tests.
    • Processing and/or rework product for online failures
    • Tests products by using the A/C tester or appropriate manufacturing “Functional Test Standard Procedure”
    • Use BOM to identify replacement components
    • Replace or repair worn, defective, damaged components or products, using hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment
    • Requisition parts using work order pick list and material requisition processes
    • Track failures and transfer data into Microsoft Excel document, update overall failure modes and volumes.
    • Determine failure trends and escalate.
    • May be required to perform additional duties as assigned
       

    You have:

    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
    • 18+ months related experience
    • Training as a HVAC service technician preferred
    • Acquire EPA certification within 6 months of hire date
    • Basic refrigeration and electrical training or equivalent experience
    • Knowledge in basic computer software and systems, i.e. Microsoft office, JDE, and other applicable systems
    • Skill in identifying root causes of problems/issues and develop recommendations for resolution
    • Ability to navigate complex machines and tools and use basic measuring instruments
    • Skill in balancing multiple tasks/projects along with the ability to work in a self-directed manner
    • No corrective actions or performance improvement plans within six (6) months of the job posting opening date
    • No decision making leaves within 12 months of the job posting opening date
    • Most recent performance rating of 4.0 or greater
    • Successfully completed six (6) months in current job bid classification OR current career advancement classification.
