WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
Grow the nVent CADDY Data Solutions business in VA, MD, DE, NJ, NY, PA, CT, VT, NH, ME, and Washington DC by establishing relationships with key influencers, identifying new opportunities, introducing new products, and conducting regular reviews.
Actively lead 3rd party sales agents by directing their focus to servicing key customers & partners within Northeast USA.
Develop a three-year sales strategy & tactical plan to achieve sales targets by identifying and developing new customers/end users within the specified territory.
Provide product expertise through training and presentations, highlighting our value proposition with key contractors and distributors.
Identify and assess potential new customers through the use of project mining tools and build relationships across all levels of key end-user customers and distributor partners.
Actively communicate competitive feedback and market dynamics internally to help further improve the solution set and refine the message.
Use Salesforce as a tool to lead opportunity pipelines and communicate feedback internally
YOU HAVE:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or applicable experience in outside sales
Ideally 5+ years of outside sales and/or territory management experience preferably in the data center/data solutions space.
Experience working with end-user customers on projects and using a CRM.
Strong preference for value and solution-based selling skills.
Ability to travel 30-60% within the region; regular overnight trips are encouraged due to the sizeable region with 3-10 overnight travel days per month on average. Will work 100% remotely out of a home office when not traveling.
A current and valid driver’s license is required.
