Otsuka's 12-week internship program offers meaningful project experiences and enables professional growth and development.
The Product Development Team Internship provides the opportunity for participation in various strategic projects and initiatives associated with a Product Development Committee in Neuroscience and as well as broad exposure to Otsuka’s R&D organization.
Job Description
The intern will support a Product Development team in Neuroscience by implementing new lifecycle development initiatives working collaboratively with a cross-functional product leadership team in the R&D organization. These initiatives include the development of a 7-year strategic roadmap for the brand overlayed with specific tactics needed to optimize brand success. Example initiatives also include the development of a brand narrative that can help guide future lifecycle development.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
•Insight gathering working together with cross-functional team members
•Supporting the Development Team Lead in creating a cohesive brand vision leveraging integrated insights
•Creating a framework for the Product Leadership team to prioritize projects against the set vision
•Organize brand insights in a shared drive to support more efficient team collaboration and execution of work
•Conduct literature research and internal surveys needed to support brand strategy development (e.g. researching competitive pipelines etc)
•Support ad hoc projects or initiatives as requested
•In partnership with department leadership, present on at least one project at the end of the internship
Educational Qualifications
Minimum:
•Undergraduate; Junior Year or Senior Year
•3.5 GPA Minimum
•STEM Majors preferred (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math)
•Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
•Exceptional written and oral communication skills, and attention to detail
•Able to multitask, be a self-starter, and collaborate closely with cross functional teams across several R&D and Commercial Departments
•Team player with a can-do attitude where no task is too big or small
•Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines
•Enrolled in an accredited college or university following the potential internship or co-op assignment
•Demonstrates behaviors aligned with the Otsuka Corporate Brand including Perseverance, Unconventional Thinking, and Humility
•Demonstrate ability to work in a team environment
•Demonstrate ability to think creatively to solve complex problems
•Exhibits eagerness to learn and ability to learn quickly
