Job Description

The successful candidate will work closely with team members to identify appropriate projects to work on that fit with the business need, and their level of experience and interest.

The Global Medical Training & Resource Development team supports:
•20 Global Medical Science Liaison (MSL) Teams (field medical affairs)
•19 Global Medical Affairs Teams
•13 Products
•10 Disease States
•16 Countries
•www.PsychU.org content development
•www.NephU.org content development
•2 Disease State Simulators (PsychUsim, ADPKDsim)

The Global Medical Training & Resource Development team trains with the entire global medical affairs (GMA) organization across all departments in every country.

We also work within the portfolio of Otsuka pharmaceutical products across all therapeutic areas so partner with the key GMA stakeholders (global medical strategy, global scientific communications, global clinical development, global value evidence strategy, global medical information, etc.) in developing the training materials needed for new product launches, as well as the global master product compendia (slide library of the clinical trial data & scientific story) for each product.

In the internship, you will work with the:
•Field Medical Affairs (FMA) Training team to learn more about the role of the MSL (you can shadow a MSL in the field if interested). You will be participating in the planning & design of a new interactive training workshop to advance the level of clinical expertise of the new hires to the FMA team.

•Global Medical Affairs Training team to have the experience of working with medical teams across the world and be involved with the strategic planning & curriculum devolvement activities for a new product launch readiness training.
•Global Resource Development team to gain insights into how the scientific messages relating to the disease states and products are developed. In your internship you will see how we create resources that are scientifically accurate, strategically aligned, and impactful so they can be used for clinical symposia, webinars, disease state eructation forums, advisory boards, and by FMA with health care providers/organizations, hospitals, medicals schools, advocacy groups, managed care organizations, etc. You will be working with the team on creating content for 1-2 deliverables.

Educational Qualifications

Minimum:
•Prefer to have a student starting or in a graduate science program. No GPA requirement
•References preferred
•Ability to communicate effectively
•The ability to read, understand, and communicate scientific and clinical data
•Enrolled in an accredited college or university following the potential internship or co-op assignment
•Exhibits eagerness to learn and ability to learn quickly
