Job Description
The Sourcing Strategy & Execution (SSE) teams’ mission is to partner with Otsuka teams and leverage the provider market landscape to develop a sourcing strategy that addresses long-term business needs and enable the execution of competitive contracts in order to mitigate risk, increase performance, and drive efficiencies for R&D services.

In this role, the intern may:
•Get familiar with the team mission, organization, and main activities within the SSE team.
•Assist SSE team members in the development of a sourcing strategy:

Collect, consolidate, and analyze strategic information about the provider market landscape
Collect and consolidation of internal operational requirements
Development of forms and documents

•Assist SSE team members in the sourcing process management activities:
Consolidate and analyze process data
Develop forms and documents

•Work in collaboration with SSE team members and other function area members (Requestor of Service, Finance, Legal, etc.)
•Regularly report activity process to the Hiring Manager and alerts about any issues

Our belief is that SSE activities will have meaningful end-to-end impact on our business in the future.

The candidate selected for this role will have the opportunity to contribute to projects focused on strategic planning and operational execution.

Ensuring functional teams and management alignment on program objectives, deliverables, and timelines needed to support the organization’s overall goals. The outputs or deliverables will be a summary of key learnings, ways of working best practices, and efficiency recommendations for functional execution.

•MS office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)

•Lean Six Sigma

Educational Qualifications
Minimum:
•Undergraduate (prefer heading into their junior or senior year
•College/University major(s) preferred:
oSupply chain
oBusiness administration and/or management
•Enrolled in an accredited college or university following the potential internship or co-op assignment
•Demonstrates behaviors aligned with the Otsuka Corporate Brand including Perseverance, Unconventional Thinking, and Humility
•Demonstrate ability to work in a team environment
•Demonstrate ability to think creatively to solve complex problems
•Exhibits eagerness to learn and ability to learn quickly
