    Position summary

    d NFR suppliers’ participation in the Company's omnichannel merchandising operations.

    This position provides an avenue to develop a supplier base that more accurately reflects and represents the diverse communities we serve, and also provides us with the ability to reap the benefits from communities supporting our initiative and our stores.
    The position works closely with Merchandising and DEI leaders across the brands and entities of Ahold Delhaize USA in order to inspire change and deliver commercial impact.

    Recipe for Success-What's “in store” for the role

    • Develop and maintain an intra-net database of both current diverse-owned suppliers, as well as an ongoing pipeline of potential diverse-owned suppliers
    • Establish targets and goals and then supervising and reporting on the program’s progress
    • Generates ad hoc reports and studies as required by leadership
    • Through a "dotted line" relationship, provides assistance and resources for use by other functional areas, such as Indirect Procurement, Supply Chain, DEIB, BRGs, etc.
    • Provides assistance and coaching to potential, diverse-owned suppliers looking to do business with PDL and the Brands of PDL-ADUSA
    • Educate internal partners on the program and the importance of supplier diversity and promote its integration into procurement/category management processes
    • Facilitates training sessions crafted to build awareness and ensure support for supplier diversity
    • Collaborate with Brands to coordinate activities with Supplier Diversity Advocacy Organizations
    • Establish and manage relationships with advocacy organizations and industry partners
    • Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to stay updated on best practices.

    The Essentials In Your Cart - The required ingredients

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience
    • 6+ years of related experience; 5+ years leading processes, initiatives, or teams.
    • Experience in Supplier Diversity preferred

    • Experience in building or leading a Supplier Diversity program

    • Strategic thinking and planning, including establishing goals and key metrics

    • Maturity to inspire change in established environments

    • Experience briefing and collaborating with executive leaders

    • Proven leadership skills with the ability to empower direct reports.

    • Strong project management skills

    • Strong analytical, written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

    • Able to work under strict deadlines, set and balance priorities, with strong follow-through skills.

    • Expert Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills

    • Highly self-motivated, results oriented, team player
