    Position summary

    risk assessments and annual security reviews at the BU's sites to identify critical vulnerabilities and to assist in closing these risks through cost-effective, best practice security enhancements

    • Analyze security threats and risks inherent in undertaking new business ventures and offer expertise-based risk mitigation measures

    • Within the BUs, develop and maintain working relationships with national and local security, emergency response, law enforcement, and regulatory authorities as well as with security directors of other large multinational companies

    • Deliver a BU-aligned CAPEX security plan that ensures effective security spend and balance across physical, technical and procedural control elements

    • Develop and deliver security awareness and training programs, with a strong focus on workplace violence and robbery awareness

    • Advise and assist before, during, and after security incidents, including on-the-spot risk assessments and security advice to business travelers

    • Implement a strategic plan to strengthen the protection of our supply chain, end-to-end

    • Conduct and coordinate investigations to include counterfeit, extortion, contamination of our products, loss reduction, kidnapping, robberies, Speak Up, fraud, corruption, and security threats against the BUs' interests and associates

    • Ensure the continued professional development of the BUs' security team, to include the identification of suitable individuals in longer-term succession planning

    • As necessary and required, support the Corporate Security Executive Protection program by providing pre-travel logistical assistance and direct operational support to impacted members of executive leadership when they are present within the Sector

    • A minimum of a university-level Bachelors degree

    • A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in the public and/or private sectors

    • Comprehensive, substantive expertise of best security practices and principles

    • Advanced, proven broad executive skills and experience in security management, risk management, protective services, investigations, and law enforcement

    • Capital and operational budget formulation and administration

    • Excellent working proficiency of written and spoken English

    Differentiating competences

    • Credibility as a senior staff member - capable of achieving and maintaining top management support for security as a business-integrated element contributing to overall business success
    • Ability to work independently and rapidly, to set priorities, and to meet targets in an expanding business environment
    • Formal fire-arms training, preferably qualified to instructor-level
    • Deep knowledge of the security regulatory frameworks
    • Working knowledge of ISO standards
    • Working relationships with law enforcement
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify second- and third-order effects
    • Effective oral communicator and presenter - culturally sensitive and well-informed
    • Skilled at preparing documentation for submission/presentation to Sector leadership
    • Capable of creating synergies, cooperation and team and shared focus
    • Enables and drives change with customer focus
    • Prepared to travel regularly in fulfillment of the position's accountabilities
