    Responsibilities

    Agriculture Development Associate Manager - Potato Varietal Development

    This role supports the commercialization of new potato varieties and technologies within the PepsiCo Variety Development program. Ultimately, the individual in this role will be responsible for managing all commercial potato trials focused on Variety Specific Agronomy, New Technology and Best Management Practices. The individual in this role will analyze, interpret, and report results required for the successful commercialization of target new varieties and technologies. This role will interact with both chip and seed potato growers directly to collect data, develop best practices, and provide outreach to optimize potato productivity, meet sustainability requirements and ensure annual operating plans are met for PepsiCo Foods North America / Frito Lay.

    Qualifications

    • Recommended - Masters or https://Ph.D. in Agronomy & Plant Science / Production Agriculture / Ag. Business / Horticulture or other related fields

    • Minimum of 5-10 years of commercial agricultural experience - preference, in supervisory/management role

    • Potato experience is recommended

    • Thorough knowledge of sustainable crop production with demonstrated success in the application and commercialization of research and new technology

    • Experience with and demonstrated knowledge of electronic data acquisition, instrumentation, and control systems used in production agriculture

    • Proficient with computer software applications for word processing, spreadsheet analysis, database development and statistical/data analysis

    • Facilitation and Project Management experience

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with internal and external cross-functional partners in formal and informal settings

    • Self-starter with strong
