    Position summary

    Overview

    This role will be used as a lead role for Enterprise Data Warehouse and Azure PaaS Database Design and Sustain

    Responsibilities

    • Lead a team of enterprise data warehouse design support and Azure platform as a service (PaaS) cloud provisioning engineers spread across multiple geographies

    • Assist with the planning, design, development and implementation of enterprise applications on Microsoft Azure including application modernization and migration.

    • Work with Application Architects to design complex IaaS, SaaS and PaaS solutions

    • Work on the enterprise projects to develop, modernization and migrate client applications

    • Database performance optimization and tuning, troubleshooting connectivity issues

    • Vendor management, risk management and finance operations

    • Define and drive OKR's for IT PaaS strategy

    Qualifications

    Years of Experience

    • 15+ years of proven experience in a mixed role of product management and IT management with preference working in a Fortune 50 organization

    • 5+ years experience leading teams spread across multiple vendors and geographies

    • 8+ years' experience Azure Database Technologies and/or equivalent MPP cloud based databases

    • 8+ years experience with ITSM/ITIL

    Mandatory Technical Skills

    • Hands-on experience using Teraform templates or manual approach to deploy Azure PaaS Database services ( (Synapse, SQL Server, Cosmos DB, MySQL, Azure Analysis Services)

    • Database administration and maintenance (user creation, role assignments, securing database)

    • Database performance optimization and tuning, troubleshooting connectivity issues

    • Azure Database Technologies and/or equivalent MPP cloud based databases

    • TSQL, PL/SQL, Kusto (Azure Data Explorer)

    • ETL Tool or equivalent such as Azure Data Factory, SQL Server Integration Services

    • 1-3 years hands-on experience with Azure network (creation of private and service endpoints, NSG rules, routing, firewalls, internal and external web applications, Azure VNets, Subnets, Azure network settings, CIDR address blocks, DNS settings, security policies,

    • Experience with TDE, threat detection, configuring workspace with double encryption with CMK

    • Logging using Storage account/Log Analytics/Event Hub, SQL pools, spark pools etc.

    • 6+ years hands-on experience using Teraform/Ansible automation templates or manual approach to deploy Azure PaaS services with specialization in PaaS resource provisioning in any of the Azure PaaS services.

    • Azure DataBricks

    • Azure ML Ops

    • Azure Storage, ADF, Key Vault, Log Analytics

    • Azure Kubernetes

    • Application Service Environment, Web and Function Apps

    • Experience with web security; Understanding Fundamentals of firewalls and ports

    • Experience with infrastructure monitoring and logging tools

    • Experience configuring and monitoring Azure PaaS services, Git, GitHub

    Mandatory Non-Technical Skills

    • Experience working in a matrix organization with diverse priorities
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills along with collaboration and listening skills
    • Ability to work with agile delivery methodologies
    • Ability to ideate requirements & design iteratively with business partners without formal requirements documentation
