  • Previous Category Management or even sales experience not essential as candidate is joining a team where we have job experts to help train up - tho would need to demo strong learning agility.

Responsibilities

As a Category Manager on a top 4 customer you'll be working alongside the Snacks Lead to deliver the agenda for the customer. You'll be tasked with providing customer, category and shopper insight to them. You will work in partnership with the Perfect Store team and the wider DX function to land targeted category growth initiatives.

You will also support the commercialisation of our PepsiCo UK brands and innovation and will have significant interaction with External Customers, Internal Sales team and the wider business.

Specifically you will:

  • Work closely with the Snacks Lead to plan and deliver of all range reviews for the Snacks for the customer

  • Identify and clearly define key category and customer issues and opportunities and generate the insight and solutions to resolve these

  • Manage day to day customer relationship with customer Buying and Category Planning team

  • Establish new (and develop existing) relationships within the customer, with the aim of consolidating PepsiCo's trusted advisor status

  • Work in partnership with the wider DX team to leverage insights generated and build learning of in-store initiatives for continuous learning and best practice case studies

  • Contribute to the overall cross category Customer & DX team agenda and vision

  • Support Snacks Lead to deliver strategic initiatives working with key stakeholders across PEP & the customer

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of Category Management principles (previous Category Management experience preferable but not essential)

  • Ability to demonstrate importance of Distribution, Space & Range

  • Ability to create actionable insight that drive change

  • Strong storytelling skills

  • Track record of delivering stretch targets including course correction

  • Experience of working in a customer/client facing role

  • Ability to demonstrate application towards Learning & Development

  • Commercial acumen and knowledge of the UK FMCG market

  • Analytical thinking and control of multiple data sources, ensuring clear performance narrative delivered weekly internally/externally

  • Ability to build and maintain lasting internal and external relationships

  • Ability to present internally and externally

  • Proven ability to work as part of a team

  • Ability to build and deliver a strong PDR and development plan

  • Ability to demonstrate application towards Learning & Development
