    Job Overview

    In this role you will be responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of monthly/quarterly financial statements and sector reports, performing monthly closing activities in accordance with PepsiCo reporting rules, and delivering base business priorities to sustain an effective control environment. The role entails interaction with the business units' control teams and outsourced delivery teams.

    Responsibilities

    • Preparing and submitting timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual Corporate reports to the Sector Control Team of designated business units

    • Performing journal entries, reconciliation, accruals, and reserves to ensure the accuracy of financial statements during month-end closing

    • Performing reconciliation of intercompany accounts, analysing intercompany balances and aligning with counterparties and ensuring that they are resolved timely

    • Working with payroll teams internally and externally to validate actuals and x-charge payroll costs properly

    • Driving the mapping process between employee costs and Functions (management accounting), leveraging HR systems, and working in close partnership with FP&A

    • Supporting US GAAP and local audits with external auditors and communicating and managing deliverables

    • Preparing ad hoc analysis for internal customers

    • Maintaining financial controls by adhering to policies and procedures; ensuring compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements

    • Supporting and providing input for corporate audits

    Qualifications

    • University degree, preferably in Finance/Accounting/Economics or equivalent education
    • Work experience 2+ years in GL/Reporting department (proven experience in a similar position)
    • Experience of Financial Reporting Systems and Databases - S4HANA/HFM would be an asset
    • Fluent in English
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project)
    • Wide range of knowledge related to GL and Reporting, understanding of accounting in general
    • Action and result oriented, attentive to deadlines
    • Intellectual capacity to link accounting concepts to underlying financial data systems in order to understand, analyse and interpret actual results and troubleshoot any issues with the data
