JOB PURPOSE
To ensure the continuous and efficient functioning of the packaging line as per IPS standards.
Responsibilities
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Ensuring packing machines are correctly allocated according to split and utilised to meet production requirements - change over bag maker and weighers when required and ensuring sufficient materials are available for production requirements.
• Ensuring required efficiency is maintained (85%) and machines run optimally.
• Minimising film waste to below 1.0%.
• Ensuring that quality control audits are carried out and relevant reports completed.
• Ensuring that all equipment are properly maintained by monitoring and informing engineering and by carrying out minor repairs on packaging equipment.
• Ensure good housekeeping - according to AIB standards and safety regulations.
• Ensure and support 5S & Kaizen implementation on line.
• Ensure in time and accurate input of data /Allergens change over starting and shutting down.
• Ensure support Packaging SETs for conducting packaging IPS on quarterly basis and follow up all identified opportunities to improve score >90%.
• Ensure daily meeting timely with engineering team to discuss previous day downtimes.
• Ensure line balancing at all times.
• Ensure autonomous maintenance of assigned bag makers as aligned with FLM.
• Ensure his/her safety & his fellow colleagues safety by actively ensuring compliance on all identified risks by HSE department
• Ensure CLTI for his/her machines as per set frequency.
Work in close liaison with FLM & SET on execution of various packaging projects .
Act as mentor/coach for newly on-boarded PMOS & help his FLM for coordination all assigned tasks.
Coordinate with FLM & SET to extend TPM-AM pillar implementation across his Bank.
Apart from the above, employee is expected to perform other accountabilities, time to time assigned by the manager.

DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY
• Complete freedom to make decisions and take actions as necessary to achieve the desired business results on bag makers (with or without reference to FLM).
