    Summary:

    The Food Safety Coordinator is responsible for verifying Food Safety and Quality records. Supporting the site on the preparation for audits, and setting up action plans and following up. Supporting the training program for the site. Procurement, receiving and payment of materials, consumables, and other items for the Quality Department. This position will report directly to the Quality Department Manager.

    Responsibilities

    • Daily monitoring of Preventive Controls.

    • Creates reports detailing current performance.

    • Ensures action plans to address gaps are tracked.

    • Follow up/ post audits occur to validate action plan completion.

    • Manage and/or provide training compliance tracking process.

    • Analyzing audit scores and actions to resolve outages. This will directly impact future audit scores and plant rankings.

    • Plans or assigns work, approves work. Work for this position will be reviewed weekly with the Quality Manager.

    • Interacts with Quality Manager for daily updates.

    • Interacts with cross functional teams as needed based on operation needs.

    • Perform Raw Material and Concentrate daily inventory adjustments, ensuring documentation and proper approvals are in place to support ensure accuracy.

    • Supervise inventory operations to reduce product waste through effective PQI process management.

    • Support critical Period End activities including counting, reconciling raw materials with the utmost accuracy and in compliance with GCS Standards.

    • Ensure all GCS Standards are maintained

    • On a daily basis, analyze variances (inventory gains/losses) and execute root cause analysis to ensure inventory on-hand accuracy.

    • Ability to order materials and supplies needed for department.

    • Strong Influence skills

    • Strong written and oral communication skills

    • Foster a collaborative environment among all departments

    • Willing to take on tough tasks/assignments

    • Strong sense of urgency and outstanding prioritization skills.

    • Proven ability to work with little to no supervision and meet tight deadlines.

    • File organization.

    • You may require off-shift and weekend work

    • Tasks and responsibilities are subject to change as business needs come up.

    Compensation and Benefits:

    • The expected compensation range for this position is between $50,400 to $75,550 based on a full-time schedule

    • Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary

    • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement

    • Other benefits, subject to elections and eligibility: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Health and Dependent Care Reimbursement Accounts, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Insurance (Accident, Group Legal, Life), Defined Contribution Retirement Plan.

    Qualifications

    • Experience with internal audits and 3rd party audits

    • Experience with GFSI scheme

    • PCQI or HACCP certification

    • Administrative experience preferred

    • Inventory management experience preferred

    • Detail-oriented

    • Have a sense of urgency

    • Ability to execute and stay engaged

    • Can work and meet expectations with little to no supervision
