Starting wage: $https://19.82/ hour ($https://22.84 after 3 months)
Shift Schedule: 3 shifts on, 3 shifts off 12 hrs (Day and Night Shifts Available)
Responsibilities
Set up and operation of the seasoning machines
Maintaining quality controls for seasoning application and salt tests (requires use and understanding of Aim Charting process)
Managing the conveyor system (OMS) to ensure appropriate product feed
Maintaining a partnership with Process Technicians, Packaging Machine Operators (PMO) and Lab Technicians
Providing leadership in the assistance / guidance of technicians during changeovers to ensure performance within timeline and quality standards expectations
Competence in understanding and troubleshooting of production schedules
Perform complete Packaging line set-up to standards
Demonstrate Product Attribute Evaluation (PAE) certification principles
Demonstrate Product Wall certification principles
Preserve the integrity of seasoning bags or totes during storage
Involved in Inventory Control Practices by providing damage report and monitoring code date on seasoning bags
Conduct Product Safety Management (PSM) reports for changeovers
Observe Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and provide GMP coaching to any personnel coming through the department
Observe proper cleaning and shutdown practices prior to weekend Sanitation
Support end of week sanitation duties and preventative maintenance (TPM) responsibilities as required
Complete all necessary paperwork, and reporting while ensuring accuracy of information.
Quickly prioritize workload and solve problems to provide efficient service to the packaging room.
Maintain a high level of housekeeping for the ACE mezzanine area and ensure compliance to all AIB and Food Safety requirements.
Prioritize the use of used cartons wherever possible instead of new cartons.
Communicate effectively with Receiving to maximize the number of used cartons stored on the ACE mezzanine.
Work with Receiving to ensure that an adequate supply of cartons is available to run the required production schedule.
Manually loading and unloading cartons to the ACE's, heavy lifting of carton bundles is involved.
Safely operate all machinery on the ACE mezzanine including; TACE (transformational auto case erector), NACE (Nested auto case erector) and box drops as required.
Able to understand daily production planner (DPP) and change-over requirements and proactively supply the necessary cartons on time to the packaging room.
Assist with line changeovers as required.
Work effectively with the PMO team to maximize machine and labor efficiency.
Follow carton sorting protocol to cull unusable cartons, sort cartons to maximize machine efficiency while minimizing wasted cartons.
Support end of week sanitation duties and preventative maintenance (TPM) responsibilities as required
Support PMO's in the packaging room and Seasoners as necessary to optimize the line and ensure top machine efficiency. This may include role changes, former changes, break relief, and support during line changeovers.
