This is an exciting opportunity as the team develops innovation strategy and executes new and exciting launches across a portfolio of brands. This role will be responsible for leading innovations for the Share Builder brands such as Lay’s and Smartfood. As the Associate Marketing Manager on the Frito-Lay innovation team, you will help develop strategy and deliver execution for a three-year pipeline for the Share Builder brands. This role will help execute the innovation strategy with XF teams and develop a robust innovation pipeline. We are a nimble team, this experience will develop and showcase your ability to stay on top of leading trends, think strategically, act quickly and think outside the box to fully realize product ideas from concept to scale-up. Key Accountabilities: Lead the execution of innovation projects for the Share Builder brands through stage gate process in collaboration with cross-functional partners while navigating complexity Bring strong analytical background and strategic rationale to build recommendations for pipeline development Balance art and science, leveraging your deep understanding of the consumer and trends to make gut instinct decisions, while balancing with insights & analytics to drive a data-oriented learning agenda Develop new products through close cross-functional partnership with speed to market as a focus Assist innovation lead on new concept/pipeline packaging creative, including trend analysis, consumer research and design by partnering with internal design and insights teams as necessary Partner with brand and sales team to create best in class sell story and tools for sell-in Coordinate innovation launch calendar and ensure support and alignment from sales Lead best-in-class cross functional partnership skills across the organization including brand, insights, finance, supply chain, R&D, sales, and agency partners Qualifications/Requirements Previous CPG and/or agency innovation experience strongly preferred MBA degree or BBA with 3+ years of direct, full-time work experience Strong project management skills and cross-functional team experience Strong demonstrative leadership potential and strategic thinking A passion for understand consumer behaviour and an ability to translate trends and insights into product ideas that uniquely satisfy unmet needs Can do spirit with an aptitude in dealing with ambiguity facilitated by a penchant for creative-thinking and problem-solving Ability to keep others engaged and accountable while delivering results flawlessly and on-time A sense of urgency, bias for action, and strong attention to detail Strong written and oral communication skills A curiosity to learn about any and all parts of innovation (pack, product, etc.) and the functions (operations, supply, etc.) that go into turning concepts into products A flexible and 360 marketing/GM like mindset with strong understand of brand building The role is based in Plano, TX Relocation Eligible: Not Eligible for Relocation Job Type: Regular All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, or disability status.
