    Position summary

    Overview

    The Information Security Analytics & Insights Analyst is a role within the PepsiCo Information Security organization to assist in the development and sustainment of the security metrics program. The candidate will contribute to the development and maturity of the security metrics program including people, process, and technology. They will support PepsiCo's security agenda by providing risk-based insights for varied global audiences ranging from operational leaders to PepsiCo's Board of Directors through data and dashboard development.

    Responsibilities

    • Contribute to the development and implementation of the security metrics program

    • Be responsible for maintaining internal stakeholder and data provider relationships

    • Be responsible for ensuring complete, accurate, and timely reporting of analytics and insights to stakeholders

    • Be responsible for documenting requirements for new reporting, including recommending and implementing business intelligence capabilities, centralized data collection and archival, and automated dashboards and reports

    • Be responsible for defining data models, and building out efficient data ingestion processes for reporting

    • Be responsible for identifying and validating data sources input from stakeholders and incorporating feedback in the development of risk-based metrics

    • Contribute to the identification and effective communication of information security risks identified by data mining a single source or aggregating multiple data sources

    • Be responsible for defining, implementing, and monitoring best practices and processes for the security metrics program

    • Enable design and deployment of the mechanisms and tools for data harvesting and determine key risk indicators

    Qualifications

    Years of Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related discipline

    • 6+ years of experience in Visualization tools such as Power BI

    • 6+ years of experience in SQL Server, or similar relational database methodologies

    Mandatory Technical skills:

    • Strong experience in the collection and aggregation of various data sources for reporting and archiving of statistical data

    • Experience with Alteryx a plus

    • Strong experience in the implementation of data solutions to support reporting and business intelligence platforms

    • Strong experience and proven leadership in developing, reporting, and communicating analytic results

    Mandatory Non-Technical Skills:

    • Strong communication and relationship building skills

    • Candidate must be able to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems

    • Candidate must have strong analytical skills to determine how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes

    • Candidate must be able to understand information security risks and determine ways to identify measures that will accurately reflect the current degree of risk

    • Candidate must be able to identify measures or indicators of data quality and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the system

    Differentiating Competencies:

    • An ideal candidate is
    • An excellent communicator both orally and in writing
    • Able to present effectively using multiple reporting and presentation tools such as Microsoft PowerPoint and Tableau
    • Able to derive meaningful and risk-based insights from data
    • Knowledgeable in the Information Security domain
