    We are now looking for a Payroll Officer to join and support our ANZ Team. Your role will be to ensure accurate and timely processing of Australian and New Zealand Wages and Salaries in accordance with Statutory Legislation, relevant Industrial Agreements, Company Policies and procedures and other Contractual Requirements. This role supports the Management Team by providing accurate and timely reports with analysis to identify trends and other notable items. You will also provide a high level of customer service to all employees for general payroll queries.

    Key Focus Areas & Responsibilities

    • Ensure allocated Payrolls are processed on time and in an accurate manner, ensuring compliance with the relevant Payroll Processing Schedule and Task List.

    • Act as a Super User of Kronos and support payroll/HR teams on ad-hoc queries and issue resolution.

    • Updating and maintaining the employee master file and leave entitlements in Affinity in accordance with legislation and written instructions received by Human Resources.

    • Enquires and requests from all employees are responded to with acknowledge within 24 hours and are actioned in a timely and accurate manner.

    • Proactive skills to identify, analyse and resolve system issues.

    • Ensuring compliance with internal policies/procedures and business controls to ensure all transactions are processed correctly, saved electronically and have been properly authorised before payment.

    • Reconcile and pay within legislation monthly PAYG and IRD Tax payments. Work with other Group member as required for accurate reporting.

    • Reconcile and pay within legislation monthly Superannuation payments. Work with other Group member as required for accurate reporting.

    • Maintaining data integrity and compliance to industrial instruments (e.g. EBA/CWA/Modern Award).

    • Enquires and requests from all employees are responded to with acknowledge within 24 hours and are actioned in a timely and accurate manner.

    • Provide punctual reporting to the HR and Finance functions regarding Workers Compensation, Expat/Inpat payments, Leave Provisions and Labour Costings

    • Demonstrated commitment to identifying opportunities for continuous improvement

    • Ensuring compliance with internal policies/procedures and business controls to ensure all transactions are processed correctly, saved electronically and have been properly authorised before payment.

    • Demonstrate and exercise a commitment to promote, develop and improve the health, safety and welfare of our people.

    • Assist the National Payroll Manager, Payroll Officers and Payroll Accountant in order to archive the departments operational and strategic goals.

    About You

    • Minimum 3-5 years' experience working in a complex Multinational payroll environment, preferably FMCG or Manufacturing

    • Proven experience working on Affinity (Payroll System) and Kronos (Time and Attendance system)

    • Able to deliver complete end to end Payroll process

    • Ability to interact with employees at all levels

    • Experience interpreting multiple Enterprise Bargaining Agreements

    • High attention to detail in own work and as a Checker/Auditor

    • Excellent Communication skills (Verbal and Written)

    • Great time management skills with the ability to work to moving deadlines.

    • Sound level of Super, Tax and Payroll Legislative knowledge.

    • Demonstrated Analytical and strong Excel skills.

    • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

    • Pro-active skills to Identify, Analyse and resolve system issues.

    • Demonstrated commitment to identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
