    Position summary

    technical teams to gather release requirements and ensure their alignment with organizational goals and objectives. 3. Execute release activities, including package creation, deployment, and verification, adhering to established release management processes and best practices. 4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date release documentation, including release plans, procedures, and post-release reports, to ensure traceability and compliance with SoX controls. 5. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks associated with releases, proactively addressing potential issues that may impact the release schedule or quality. 6. Monitor release progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders, highlighting any deviations or areas requiring attention. 7. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance release processes, tools, and methodologies, aiming for increased efficiency and effectiveness. 8. Support the resolution of release-related incidents and problems, participating in post-release activities such as incident analysis, root cause identification, and implementing corrective actions. 9. Stay abreast of industry trends and developments in release management practices, ensuring the application of industry best practices and recommending improvements as appropriate. 10. Foster effective communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams involved in the release process, promoting a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning.

    Qualifications

    • 1-2 years of experience working with SAP applications: Familiarity with SAP systems, modules, and processes, even at a basic level, can be advantageous for understanding the specific requirements and challenges of managing SAP releases.

    • 1-2 years of experience in release management or change management in an SAP environment: While extensive prior experience in release management is not crucial for the role, having exposure to release or change management processes specific to SAP applications can be beneficial.

    • 1 year of experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams in SAP projects: The ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with SAP functional teams, technical teams, and business stakeholders is important in ensuring smooth coordination and successful release management within the SAP environment.

    • Strong communication skills: The ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, articulate release-related information, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

    • Detail-oriented and organized: A strong attention to detail, with the ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain accurate release documentation.

    • Analytical and problem-solving skills: The capability to analyze release-related issues, identify root causes, and propose solutions or improvements to ensure successful releases.

    • Team player and collaboration: A willingness to work collaboratively with various teams, including development, operations, and business stakeholders, to achieve release objectives and address challenges.

    • Adaptability and willingness to learn: The ability to quickly grasp new concepts, technologies, and processes, and a proactive approach to continuous learning and professional development.

    • Time management and ability to work under pressure: Strong time management skills to meet release deadlines, manage competing priorities, and effectively handle the pressure of time-sensitive release activities.

    Preferred Qualifications (nice to have):

    1. Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC): Knowledge of the different phases of the SDLC and how they relate to release management, including requirements gathering, development, testing, and deployment.
    2. Basic understanding of SAP transport management system (TMS): Familiarity with SAP's TMS or similar transport management systems used for managing the movement of changes between different system landscapes.
