    Position summary

    Overview

    MAIN PURPOSE:

    Support the PepsiCo India organization on Indirect tax function under the guidance of to the Head Taxation, India BU.

    • Leading filing of Periodic and Annual GST Returns in accurate manner with timelines in collaboration with PwC team for India.

    • Leading filing of Periodic and Annual VAT returns in accurate manner with timelines in collaboration with local team for Bangladesh.

    • Collaborate on the GST Audits and Assessments at various locations with Legal and PwC team.

    • Lead the Old pending Assessments related to Sales Tax, Excise and Service Tax.

    • Preparing the data as required in the statutory audits and tax audits for timely completion of the audits.

    • Collaborating with Legal Team on the Tax litigations and representing company to GST / State Tax Department as and when required.

    • Ensuring proper rigour on timely and quality reviews of Balance Sheet, GCS controls etc.

    • Timely closure of Financial books and quality reviews on monthly basis.

    • Undertake various automation projects to simplify and standardise the operations. This would also include implementation and development of new process and report related to GST activity as per law

    Responsibilities

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITY

    • 100% Accuracy in GST / VAT monthly and Annual Returns for India and Bangladesh

    • Drive the completion of Statutory/Tax Audits.

    • Timely completion of Assessments, filing of appeals

    • Reduction in Pending Assessments

    • Timely implementation of various Tax Legislation changes and SAP implementations.

    • Timely estimation of various Tax risks and flagging off same to Tax Head.
