PepsiCo’s Global Ops Modeling Team helps to build and support end to end Integrated Supply Chain Planning template solutions for multiple Global Sectors (EUROPE, LATAM, AMESA, APAC). Several components of the template solution involve sophisticated optimization tools to model and solve business problems such as Demand Planning, Inventory Optimization and Daily Production Planning. In the end state, these solutions will manage 250+ sites across the globe. You will be responsible for all forecasting activities associated with customers and products across multiple Sectors and Markets (Snacks, Foods, Beverage and Dairy across AMENA, ESSA and LATAM). The Statistical Demand Planner creates and maintains forecast models for their customers, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, retailer replenishment analysts, and other sources. You will be the integration point into the sales and commercial organization. Advanced Statistical forecast modeling is the responsibility of this position and requires an advanced degree in math, engineering or other science related education. This position leads the dialogue each week for their respective customers and products with key counterparts in Operations, Sales and Marketing in multiple countries and adjusted work hours to accommodate planning time zone differences. This role would have accountability for Statistical Forecast Accuracy improvements and support project benefits realization across all markets in AMESA, APAC, ESSA and LATAM sectors that supports the delivery of Supply Chain template and productivity. Accountabilities Develop demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function Improve the ISCP forecasting solution through rigorous statistical analysis, incorporation of business insights and implementation of new and innovative ideas on the technological/statistical front Design, implement, test and deploy ISCP code to enhance the forecasting solution in production environment Conduct deep dive projects to incorporate business insights into optimizing JDA forecasting parameters to improve forecast quality Support day-to-day activities to resolve demand planner issues through statistical root cause analysis and other creative approaches Document and present existing and new functionality as well as results of statistical and other technical analysis to internal customers Support the weekly execution of forecasting processes Contribute to vision and roadmap for sustaining continuous forecasting excellence across all regions (executing actions) Provide vision, thought leadership, roadmap and yearly plan input for demand planning modeling team Explore opportunities in the use of analytics in DP Provide input to the Supply Planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs. Qualifications/Requirements MS or Ph.D. in Math, Economics/Econometrics, Engineering, and/or Statistics. • 10 + Years Industry Experience • Extensive experience using statistical analysis and hands-on modeling • Create statistical forecasts: - Gather, analyze and validate data - Execute statistical modeling software (JDA/Blue Yonder or similar) - Review resulting statistical forecast model - Apply error analysis techniques to improve forecasting - Summarize/aggregate statistical forecasts • Strong JDA Demand programming skills or other statistical forecasting application • Extensive experience with developing and maintaining statistical models • Ability to work very effectively in an independent as well as team environment • Good writing, editing, communications, organizational, and decision making skills • Prior work experience and exposure to business intelligence and data visualization tools. • Ability to lead process discussion with Demand Planners and Demand Planning Leads across multiple markets and sectors • Experience working in a modeling team environment • Global experience or experience working with or in countries in Asia-Pac, the Middle-east, or Europe • Ability or experience developing demand modeling/demand planning communication process • Maintain demand planning system and software - Enter and modify data and ensure the correctness of product hierarchy - Monitor trends in forecast error - Identify relevant market-related data and competitive intelligence • Prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to demand planning process Advanced and fluid in English is a MUST Relocation Eligible: Not Applicable Job Type: Pipeline
