We are looking for an experienced, energetic and motivated Cyber Incident Response Support / Splunk SOC Analyst. The successful candidate will have foundational knowledge and experience of Cyber Security, SOC monitoring and FISMA, specifically. Responsible for researching new angles to identify and manage IT risks and aid in connecting them to business or enterprise risks while helping us improve our overall risk posture. Provides technical and programmatic Information Assurance Services to internal and external customers in support of network and information security systems. Designs, develops and implements security requirements within an organizations business processes. Prepares documentation from information obtained from customer using accepted guidelines such as RMF (Risk Management Framework). Prepares test plans. Provides assessment and authorization (A&A) support in the development of security and contingency plans and conducts complex risk and vulnerability assessments.
Support the security staff in all Cyber and FISMA related activities including but not limited to compliance reviews. Ability to quickly identify and resolve problems and to gather and analyze information skillfully, getting to the root cause. Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must possess strong people skills and professionalism with the ability to maintain good working relationships with colleagues at all levels. Must have a strong customer-focused attitude with the ability to listen, understand and respond quickly to customers.
Requires 5 to 8 years with BS/BA or 3 to 5 years with MS/MA or 0 to 2 years with PhD.
Bachelors Degree preferred
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or other relevant cybersecurity certification desired
Thorough understanding and knowledge of FISMA, FedRAMP, and SA&A process.
Understanding of the following technologies is a plus: Nessus, Wireshark, Gold Disk, Retina, other security vulnerability scanning tools.
