Perspectas Civilian, State and Local segment partners with the U.S. Federal Civilian State and Local governments to provide infrastructure services, business solutions, and digital transformation services that help them achieve policy objectives and integrate citizen-centric services.
Conducts logical analysis of management problems and developing multivariate analysis, linear modeling, and data mining. Uses computer technology, computer modeling, spreadsheet applications, software tools, and programming languages. Analyses data and conducts advanced statistical analyses and applies mathematical calculations. Presents findings and recommendations to appropriate groups and helps to determine what actionable steps can be taken based on the findings. Communicates and trains users on model results. Prepares written, non-technical reports to management, indicating analytical finding and models. May supervise more junior staff and schedule work to meet completion dates. Guides predictive analytics model development. Interfaces with customer and helps define work process. May estimate time frames, quality and quantity of resources required to successfully implement project; develops project plan incorporating all project variables. May establish criteria concerning deliverability, performance, maintenance, design and costs. May conduct periodic status checks with customers and team to assess progress against plan. May perform re-forecasts of project variables as necessary throughout project and prepare routine status reports on all project activities. May be assigned responsibility for the management of the function, including associated staff.
Requires 8 to 10 years with BS/BA or 6 to 8 years with MS/MA or 3 to 5 years with PhD.
Experience in manipulating and analyzing complex, large data sets from structured database.
Good communication skills. Present as part of customer presentations, putting forward analytic domain specific information.
Strong knowledge of statistical methods generally, and particularly in the areas of modeling and simulation.
Performing the analytics lifecycle of data understanding, preparation, model building, test and evaluation.
Experience with developing statistical modeling and data scoring using R, Python, MatLab, etc
Experience in data preparation.
Experience developing custom database functions (user defined functions) using Java,C++ and /or R.
Knowledge of financial data a plus.
