Under minimal direction, blends the right combination of specializations to conceptualize, design and develop total system/product solutions for enterprise-wide information technology and/or engineering/manufacturing processes. Translates customer and organizational objectives and critical success factors into actionable business, organization and technology strategies. Creates information technology plans based on an understanding of the customer's organization, strategic direction, technology context and business needs. Leads and works in a collaborative effort to conceptualize total systems and/or product solutions. Architects, designs and develops integrated business/engineering systems and products to support the achievement of the customer's and Perspecta's business goals. Leads others in the definition of project scope, plans and deliverables including cost projections and proposed implementation dates. Controls project requirements, scope and change management issues. Assists leadership in determining tactical and strategic direction of the division/organization. Works with others to develop and propose new business and technical opportunities to leadership and/or the customer. Monitors market trends and the work of standard bodies to assist Perspecta, SU and the customer in defining technical standards. Mentors others on the application of new technologies, tools, processes, standards and project management/system development methodologies. Researches, evaluates and stays current on emerging tools, techniques and technologies.
Provides the technical leadership and direction in implementing enterprise information/data management practices. Responsible for leading and engaging in information/data management projects including the Enterprise Information Architecture, information models and flows, data dictionaries, data standards, and data quality standards and processes. Responsible for developing and maintaining the logical Enterprise Information Architecture that enables seamless information interoperability of systems from transaction systems, document management systems and information delivery systems. Proven experience in developing information architectures aligned information lifecycle management. Proven experience performing conceptual, logical and physical data modeling with data modeling tools and database design in complex, large-scale data environments. Proven experience in transactional data modeling, dimensional modeling and object oriented modeling. Proven experience in developing scalable design of entities using advanced data structures (e.g., tall tables) is a plus. Experience in developing data models that support, inter alia, time dependency, historical tracings, taxonomies (simple and complex), and multilingual data. Knowledge of application modeling languages/techniques (e.g., UML, OML, entity relationship modeling, DFDs) including the ability to create and read the associated diagrams. Proven experience creating enterprise models incorporating master and reference data. Experience in creation of data dictionaries, defining metadata management approaches and governance processes. Experience in developing and implementing IT architecture plans, Enterprise Information Architecture standard and guidelines, software development methodologies and strategic plans. Experience in developing data sharing standards and architecting scalable service oriented solutions. Solid understanding of transaction and information systems, data warehouses, data marts, ODS, MDM methodologies and life cycle as well as ETL and MDM technologies.
Requires 12 to 15 years with BS/BA or 10 to 13 years with MS/MA or 7 to 9 years with Ph.D.
Experience providing architectural technical / business solutions that align to the "target" architectures.
- Experience with AutoCad and other design tools to create visual displays of "target' architectures
- Able to advice on technologies and solutions to enhance the architectural framework including but not limited to Cloud, Applications, Data Governance, Artificial Intelligence, Hardware and Software
- Experience incorporating Agile SAFe, Project Management Institute (PMI), ITIL and ISO standards into design/solutions
- Coordinates with the Sr. Program Manager to provide and support ensuring the enterprise operations and maintenance achieves, meets and exceed 99.0% availability
- Able to communicate effectively to other team managers and senior leaders
- Provide consultative expertise to other managers related to Network and Software Applications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Communications or a related field a plus
PMP certification a plus
ITIL v3 Foundation certification a plus
AWS Cloud certification a plus
Azure Cloud certification a plus
Certified Application Architect or Certified Systems Architect a plus
