The Defense group supports the Department of Defense (DoD) mission to keep our homeland and its citizens safe. We provide solutions to improve the Nation's defense by providing software, systems engineering, IT, training and logistics and fleet management solutions.
Provides engineering support, tests, administers, and troubleshoots IT system isssues. Develops engineering assessments of different configurations. including the review of work products for correctness, adherence to the design concept and to user standards, and for progress in accordance with schedules. Coordinates with the Project and/or Program Manager to ensure problem solution and user satisfaction. Makes recommendations, if needed, for approval of major systems installations. Prepares milestone status reports and deliveries/presentations on the system concept to colleagues, subordinates, and end user representatives.
Education and Experience Required:
High School Diploma/GED plus 10 years of relevant experience, or Associates Degree plus 8 years relevant experience, or Bachelor's Degree with 6 years relevant experience, or Master's Degree with 4 years relevant experience, or PHD with 2 years relevant experience.
Secret Security clearance required
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Complex - develops new concepts and processes. Analyzes root causes and resolves issues. Supports more junior level technicians and specialists in their activities. Can perform all tasks of lower level technicians or specialists.
Leadership/ Management - Works individually, actively participates on integrated teams, and may also lead a task, project or team.
Requires guidance and direction from more senior level technicians, specialists, and managers only when dealing with new, uncertain situations. Provides guidance to lower level technicians and specialists.
DoD 8570 compliance or information assurance certification commensurate with technical objectives and services required within the task order Applicable software or hardware training and certifications commensurate with the technical objectives, services required, and IT environment specified within the task order.
