The Defense group supports the Department of Defense (DoD) mission to keep our homeland and its citizens safe. We provide solutions to improve the Nation's defense by providing software, systems engineering, IT, training and logistics and fleet management solutions.
The MBSE SME provides the following support:
a. Use MBSE tools and activities to develop executable architectures and processes in order to provide informed recommendations on technical and engineering matters. Ensure conformance with all NAVWARCOM MBSE requirements including, but not limited to, architecture framework, schema, the integrated data dictionary.
b. Apply a rigorous MBSE approach that is fully documented and produces the following minimal set of project deliverables:(1) System Architecture Model (SAM)
(2) Model-Based System Requirements Specifications (SRS)
(3) Model Based System Design Specification (SDS)
(4) System and Component Dynamic Behavior
(5) Model Based System Interface Control Documents (ICD)
c. Provide expertise with OMG SysML to generate and analyze engineering artifacts
d. Coordinate and collaborate with government officials and contractors in NIWC PAC headquarters and other organizations to support rapid integration and interoperability of systems and components.
e. Ensure the quality of all services and deliverables across the contract. Ensure high customer satisfaction with all key performance metrics.
f. Ensure compliance with all government and corporate policies.
g. Institute and maintain industry best-practice standards, processes, and methodologies.
Requires 10 to 12 years with BS/BA or 8 to 10 years with MS/MA or 5 to 7 years with PhD.
Required experience and qualifications:
Active Secret clearance.
BS in a relevant engineering discipline (electrical, mechanical, systems) or computer science.
5+ years of MBSE experience (DoD experience preferred)
Desired experience and qualifications; it is desired that the candidate meet one or more of the following experience requirements:
MBSE professional certification from INCOSE, major university or another recognized engineering body
MS in a relevant engineering discipline
DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification
